What is Coverage Maps?

Coverage Maps is a free web application that helps businesses create and manage territory maps for sales teams, service areas, and franchise territories. It provides an intuitive interface for visualizing geographic coverage and assigning regions to team members.

Is Coverage Maps really free to use?

Yes, Coverage Maps is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees or premium features that require payment. We believe that effective territory management should be accessible to businesses of all sizes.

Can I export my maps?

Coverage Maps allows you to export your territory maps in multiple formats including PDF, PNG, and CSV. This makes it easy to share your maps with team members or include them in presentations and reports.

How do I save my work?

Coverage Maps automatically saves your work in your browser's local storage. For more permanent storage, you can export your data as a JSON file and import it later. We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup.

Can I collaborate with my team?

While Coverage Maps doesn't currently have built-in collaboration features, you can export your map data and share it with team members who can then import it into their own session. We're working on adding direct collaboration features in the future.

What map views are available?

Coverage Maps offers two main views: US view for detailed United States mapping by state, and World view for international territory mapping by country. Both views provide interactive features for assigning and visualizing territories.

How do I assign territories?

You can assign territories by selecting a person from your list and then clicking on regions in the map. Alternatively, you can click on an unassigned region and select which person to assign it to. You can also manually enter territory codes in the table view.

Can I import my existing territory data?

Yes, Coverage Maps supports importing territory data via CSV files. Your CSV should include columns for name, territory, and geography (region codes). Check our help documentation for detailed formatting requirements.
